The I Stage of the "Chess Academy Cup 2020" Blitz Chess Tournament

Chess Academy of Armenia is organizing the first stage of "Chess Academy Cup 2020" Blitz Chess Tournament on May 9 at 13:00, which will be held online at www.chess.com . In the tournament can participate those who have 1st, 2nd categories and national rating. It is a 9 round Swiss tournament. Time control is 3+1 minutes.

Entry fee:

GM, IM, WGM. WIM - free
Palyers with II, I category & rating under 2150 - 2500 AMD
Palyers with national rating 2150 & above - 2000 AMD

Total prize fund of the tournament is 135 000 AMD. 
1st place - 35 000 AMD
2nd place - 25 000 AMD
3rd place - 20 000 AMD
4th place - 15 000 AMD
5th place - 10 000 AMD
Special prizes:
best performance among girls - 10 000 AMD
best performance among those who have chess category - 10 000 AMD
best performance among children up to 12 years of age - 10 000 AMD

The registration of the participants should be done online till May 6, 18:00. It's necessary to click on the REGISTERATION button in the official website of the Chess Academy of Armenia (www.chessacademy.am), then fulfill all the fields and make payment.

In case of encountering any difficulty you can transfer the entry fee to our bank account (Don’t forget to mention the participant’s details–name, surname, telephone number, current category, tournament name, www.chess.com username, trainer’s name and surname).

ATTENTION!

Here are the mandatory conditions for participation:

• During the tournament all participants should join by zoom platform with the cameras on,

• The organizer has the right to remove from the tournament the participant who is suspected of unfair play,

• All those participants whose usernames on the online platform have ever been closed due to unfair play are not eligible to participate in the tournament.

• Prizes will be awarded two days after the tournament, only after checking the played games to avoid awarding prizes to computer-aided participants.

Dear chess players, in case of not following the above conditions, you will not be able to participate in the tournament.
