Chess Academy Cup - 2025

On December 19, 2025, at 16:00, the Armenian Chess Academy will organize the "Chess Academy Cup - 2025" rapid chess tournament's final phase.

Participants

The tournament is open to chess players with at least a 3rd category rating.

Tournament Format

The tournament will be conducted in a Swiss system format, with 9 rounds, in accordance with FIDE chess rules.

Time Control

5 minutes for the entire game, with a 3-second increment per move starting from the first move.

Tiebreakers

In case of a tie on points, prizes will not be shared, and the final standings will be determined by:

• Buchholz score,

• then the Buchholz score with a higher number of wins,

• followed by the number of games played with black pieces.

Prize Fund
The prize fund will be 70% of the entry fees.
