The second phase of the 20th Armenian School Chess Olympiad has kicked off at the Chess Academy of Armenia

The best young players from the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan are already at the boards, competing for a chance to advance to the next phase.

The Olympiad is being held with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia and under the sponsorship of AGBU Armenia. This year also marks the 20th anniversary of the collaboration between the Chess Academy of Armenia and the Armenian General Benevolent Union.

The competition promises to be intense, hopeful, and full of surprises.
