The 9th round of the Tsaghkadzor Open 2026 International Chess Tournament is now underway.

In Group A, Russia’s Valery Sviridov leads the standings with 7.5 points, while in Group B, Armenia’s Narek Mkrtchyan is in the lead with 7 points.
