We are marking a new chapter in the international chess calendar.
From November 11 to 21, 2025, the Chess Academy of Armenia, in cooperation with the Syunik Chess Federation
will host the international chess tournament “Goris Open”.
The Chess Academy of Armenia proudly announces the launch of this new tournament, which marks a significant
step in the development of Armenia’s chess scene and in strengthening ties with the global chess community. The
tournament will take place in the picturesque town of Goris, Syunik Province, which is known for its rich cultural
heritage and breathtaking landscapes.
The prize fund of the tournament is 10,000,000 AMD.
