Hovhannes Danielyan 2nd Memorial

Hovhannes Danielyan holds a special place in the history of Armenian chess — an international grandmaster, coach, and devoted supporter of chess culture, whose name was associated for many years with the development of Armenian chess.

Those who knew Hovhannes Danielyan remember him not only as a strong grandmaster, but above all as a good friend and an exceptional person. Through his attitude, human values, and dedication to chess, he earned great respect and admiration within the chess community.

On May 9, the 2nd Memorial Tournament dedicated to his memory began at the Chess Academy of Armenia, bringing together strong and promising chess players.
