"Tsaghkadzor Open" International Chess Tournament

From October 24–30, 2026, the Chess Academy of Armenia will organize the Tsaghkadzor Open International Chess Tournament, which will take place at the Eighty Eight Hotel and Spa (34/1 Tandzaghbyur St., Tsaghkadzor, Kotayk Province, Republic of Armenia).

The Tsaghkadzor Open International Chess Tournament will be held in Group A and Group B.

• Group A is open to players with a FIDE rating of 2001 and above.

• Group B is open to players with a FIDE rating below 2000, as well as a limited number of unrated players.

Both tournaments will be conducted according to the Swiss system, over 9 rounds, in accordance with the FIDE Laws of Chess.

The organizers reserve the right to allow a limited number of Armenian junior players with a FIDE rating below 1900 to participate in Group A.

Registration:

The registration of the participants should be done by transferring the entry fee to the Chess Academy of Armenia’s bank account (it’s obligatory to mention the tournament’s name, participant’s full name, date of birth, rating, FIDE ID, telephone number and email).
